Reimbursement Qualifications:
Travel reimbursement is offered to prospective students who meet the following criteria:
- Reimbursement is only offered to prospective diploma or masters students for our individual campus visits or Preview Day (Group Visits are not eligible)
- Prospective students (prospects) must be traveling at least 80 miles or more (one way) for the campus visit
- Only gas and airfare are eligible for reimbursement
- If you are driving, limit of $100 (for daily visits) or $200 (for Preview Day) per vehicle
- Reimbursement is only provided for legs of travel to/from the campus visit
- If you are flying, limit of $100 (for daily visits) or $200 (for Preview Day) per prospective student (family/guests not included, flight must be to and/or from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport)
- If you are driving, limit of $100 (for daily visits) or $200 (for Preview Day) per vehicle
- Prospects must not have taken a class before at Southern Seminary or Boyce College (online or on-campus)
- Must indicate interest in relocating to Louisville for courses
- Prospects of online-only programs, non-degree programs, conference courses, or certificate programs are ineligible
- Must attend all scheduled sessions of the visit
- Must be a your first official visit to campus (“official” defined as a scheduled visit through the Office of Admissions – either individual visits, Preview Day, or other admissions-hosted visits)
- Only prospective students who would otherwise qualify for admission will be considered
- Prospects must be in at least their junior year of college OR be at least 28 years of age (if they do not have a bachelor’s degree)
- Students must confirm a church of active attendance
- Reimbursement is not available for visits within 3 days of graduation, orientation, entrance exams, conferences, or other on-campus events not hosted by Admissions
- Itemized receipts that show payment made will be required to be submitted for reimbursement only after the student has visited campus
- Prospect must register for visit at least 72 hours in advance to qualify
- Your expenses must be submitted within 30 days after you visit campus
To request reimbursement:
- Begin the registration process for a Campus Visit or Preview Day.
- If your visit potentially qualifies for reimbursement, you will see a question on the bottom of the registration form that says “If you are traveling more than 80 miles to Louisville, your visit to campus may qualify for travel reimbursement. Would you like to learn more?”
- If this question is not present, your visit does not qualify for reimbursement.
- Answer the remaining questions and submit the form. Within 1-3 business days we will inform you about next steps for your reimbursement.
- You will submit any receipts after your visit to campus. We cannot process reimbursement before your visit.
