The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College recently hosted their annual Fall Preview Days, welcoming hundreds of prospective students and their families to explore the historic campus and experience student life.
The event drew 157 total attendees for Southern Seminary, including 84 prospective students and 73 guests. This marked the largest fall Preview Day for Southern since 2019. Meanwhile, Boyce College saw 247 attendees, with 107 prospective students and 140 guests, making it one of the largest fall Preview Days in the school’s history.
Whether through theological education at Southern or the undergraduate programs at Boyce, Preview Day allows prospective students to see the seminary’s rich theological tradition and commitment to preparing students for ministry and life.
Paul Akin, Provost at Southern Seminary, always looks forward to Preview Days and meeting future students.
“Having these students and families on our campus is an annual highlight for us,” Akin said. “Preview Day at Southern and Boyce continues to be a great opportunity for prospective students to come to our historic campus, meet our outstanding faculty, and see firsthand what makes this a special place for Christians to prepare for a life of service to Jesus.”
Throughout the day, attendees toured the campus, spent time with faculty, and engaged with current students. These events provided a comprehensive overview of the seminary’s programs, faculty, and campus life, giving attendees a glimpse into the transformative educational experience offered at Southern Seminary. Prospective students also heard exclusive faculty lectures and attended a live Q&A with President R. Albert Mohler Jr., tailored just for Preview Day attendees.
As both institutions continue to attract students from across the globe, this year’s turnout highlights the enduring appeal of Southern Seminary’s mission and academic excellence. Fall Preview Day serves as a key recruitment event, and this year’s increased numbers affirm the commitment of both Southern Seminary and Boyce College to equipping the next generation of Christian leaders.
