The August “Towers” is now available online and in stands around campus. With a new look, this month’s issue introduces readers to Louisville, giving them a taste of the city with various personalities from the Southern Seminary community talking about their favorite locales. Other coverage includes an interview with School of Church Ministries profs Randy Stinson and Timothy Paul Jones about their new book, Trained in the Fear of God (pages 8-9). Aaron also offers a brief review of the book in addition to his review of Jones’ Family Ministry Field Guide (page 6).
In a new “Towers” feature, “Marriage, Family and Seminary,” Candice Watters discusses the new-to-town essentials for those fresh to the ‘Ville (page 17). Our Southern Story features new faculty member Joe Crider, senior associate dean and professor of music and worship leadership (page 13).
The August issue also includes a review of the recently released Is Hell for Real or Does Everyone Go to Heaven?, a book that includes contributions from names such as SBTS President R.
