The Student Ministry Workshop is an opportunity designed for men and women serving in college or youth ministry, providing a space for learning, networking, and retreat, held March 24-26, 2025.
This workshop offers you a unique opportunity to attend a lecture series with Dr. Sean McDowell, participate in discussions with Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., Dr. Timothy Paul Jones, and other SBTS faculty, and sharpen your skills for more faithful ministry service along fellow laborers. This workshop combines ministry training with a retreat pace so that you leave better equipped and more refreshed, ready to lead and serve in your context more effectively.
Workshop participants will receive complimentary lodging and all meals for $300. Meals include mentoring sessions with faculty members and networking with fellow student ministry leaders.

What is The Student Ministry Workshop?
A limited attendance workshop for men and women who serve in youth or college ministry, led by Southern Seminary faculty designed to help ministry leaders sharpen their skills and strengthen relationships at a retreat pace.
The Workshop includes:
- A special lecture series featuring Dr. Sean McDowell
- Lectures and discussion with Dr. Mohler and SBTS faculty.
- Extensive time of discussion relating to student ministry with fellow leaders.
- Shared meals with fellow attendees and Southern Seminary faculty.
- A chance to attend Boyce College Dorm Meeting and Southern Seminary Chapel.

Already a Southern student? Earn Course Credit while Attending the Workshop
Professional Doctoral Students:
- D.Min. students may receive 4 hours of seminar credit for attending the Workshop and completing additional coursework.
- D.Min. students enrolled in the seminar will receive three nights of hotel lodging and meals provided, all for just $400.
Master’s Students:
- Current master’s students may receive 3 hours of credit for 28677CT Topics in Apologetics for attending the workshop and completing additional work.
- This course may be substituted for any ethics or apologetics requirement for your degree or certificate.
- Master’s students enrolled in the course will receive three nights of hotel lodging and meals provided, all for just $400.
